Media Release
By registering and attending this event, I confirm that I am 18 years old or older and that I have the legal capacity to enter into this release.
I agree that ExI and its partners, respective affiliates, subsidiaries, licensees, successors and assigns (individually and collectively, the “Producers”) may film and photograph me, livestream and record my likeness and voice during the Event and that Producers will be the exclusive owner of the results and proceeds of the Event with the right to use and license others to use the Event in all media (whether now known or later developed), throughout the universe, and in perpetuity.
It is agreed that no payments, residuals, reuse fees or other compensation shall be made to me or any other party in connection with my attendance and/or participation in the Event. To the maximum extent permitted by law, I hereby release, discharge and agree to hold harmless and defend ExI, its legal representatives and assigns, and all persons acting under its permission or authority from any and all liability, including but not limited to, any liability for what might be deemed to be misrepresentation or defamation of me, my character, or my person or that of my minor child or children, as applicable, due to any use, modification, distortion or otherwise faulty or altered reproduction of my/my child or children’s voice(s). In consideration for participating in a photograph, video and/or sound recording session during the Event and other valuable consideration, I hereby release, discharge and agree to hold harmless ExI7 and its respective legal representatives and assigns from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions and causes of action whatsoever arising out of or related to any loss, damage, or injury that may be sustained by me, or to any property belonging to me while participating in such activity, or while in, on or upon the premises where the Event is being conducted or in transportation to and from said premises. If I am a resident of California then I hereby waive California Civil Code section 1542 in connection with the foregoing, which states: “A general release does not extend to claims that the creditor or releasing party does not know or suspect to exist in his or her favor at the time of executing the release and that, if known by him or her, would have materially affected his or her settlement with the debtor or released party.”
I acknowledge that nothing herein will obligate Producers to use my name, likeness, or any photographic, video, or audio recording of me from the Event.
I have read the above authorization, release and agreement, prior to its execution, and I am fully familiar with its contents. This release shall be binding upon me and/or my minor child(ren), and my/our respective heirs, legal representatives and assigns. In the event that any provision of this agreement is found by a court of competent jurisdiction to be illegal, invalid, unenforceable or unconscionable, the remainder of this agreement shall remain in full force and shall be unaffected by such finding. In the event that I am a citizen of the European Union or Switzerland (or the Event is located in the same), I further acknowledge that I have received and read the additional European Union Privacy Terms provided below.

In the following, ExI would like to inform you about the data processing in connection with the Media Release Agreement (“Release”) as described above.
Purpose and scope of data processing: ExI processes your name, address, email address as well as your image (e.g. your photograph, film images/recordings, voice and sound recordings and copies of this material) to the extent necessary for the implementation of the Release. The legal basis for this processing activity is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. b GDPR.
Data transfer to third parties: To exercise the rights of ExI under the Release, some of the above-mentioned personal data must be passed on to affiliated companies and/or other licensees of ExI. The legal basis for this processing activity is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. b, f GDPR. ExI has a legitimate interest to use the data to broadly advertise and inform about respective events. In this case, personal data may be transferred outside the country in which it is collected. Please note that other countries may not offer the same level of data protection as your country of origin. In order to ensure that the transfer does not disproportionately impair your rights and freedoms, ExI will conclude the EU standard contractual clauses with the recipients of the data in the event of a transfer to a third country. The EU standard contract clauses can be viewed here: https://ec.europa.eu/info/law/law-topic/data-protection/data-transfers-outside-eu/model-contracts-transfer-personal-data-third-countries_de.
ExI uses service providers who support it in the data processing described above. In particular, the service providers perform the following functions: IT, marketing, videography, consulting, production, and other advertising services. The service providers may only use the personal data made available to them in accordance with the instructions of ExI for the respective task and for no other purposes. The transfer is based on Art. 28 GDPR in connection with a data processing agreement that ExI has concluded with the respective service provider.
Data storage: ExI stores the data for as long as it is necessary for the performance of the Release. Subsequently, the data will be deleted if there are no retention obligations or if another legal basis does not justify further storage.
Your rights: Depending on the specific circumstances of the individual case, you have the following rights:
To request information about your personal data and/or copies of the data, if necessary, in a structured, common and machine-readable format, as well as to transfer the personal data directly to another responsible person, as far as this is technically feasible;
To demand the correction, deletion or restriction of the processing of your personal data in accordance with the legal requirements;
To take legal measures or to appeal to the responsible supervisory authorities if you are of the opinion that your rights have been infringed as a result of the processing of your personal data which is not in accordance with the data protection regulations.

Accessibility
We are continuously working to improve the accessibility of content on our Web site. Below, you’ll find a few recommendations to help make your browsing experience more accessible:
If you have trouble seeing web pages, the US Social Security Administration offers these tips for optimizing your computer and browser to improve your online experience.
- Use your computer to read web pages out loud
- Use the keyboard to navigate screens
- Increase text size
- Magnify your screen
- Change background and text colors
- Make your mouse pointer more visible (Windows only)
If you are looking for mouse and keyboard alternatives, speech recognition software such as Dragon Naturally Speaking may help you navigate web pages and online services. This software allows the user to move focus around a web page or application screen through voice controls.
If you are deaf or hard of hearing, there are several accessibility features available to you.
Closed Captioning
Closed captioning provides a transcript for the audio track of a video presentation that is synchronized with the video and audio tracks. Captions are generally visually displayed over the video, which benefits people who are deaf and hard of hearing, and anyone who cannot hear the audio due to noisy environments. Learn how to turn captioning on and off in YouTube.
Volume Controls
Your computer, tablet, or mobile device has volume control features. Each video and audio service has its own additional volume controls. Try adjusting both your device’s volume controls and your media players’ volume controls to optimize your listening experience.
If the recommendations above do not meet your needs, we invite you to contact us for assistance in accessing our content.
